5 Tips for Surviving the IFAI Expo

We know trade shows can be difficult, but we're still able to have fun every time we go. We want you to get as much out of this year's IAFI Expo as we do. Here are DirecTex's 5 Tips for having a great expo!

5. Plan Ahead

There will be tons of vendors, exhibits and products to see at the Expo. Planning ahead can help prevent you from getting overwhelmed, or worse, missing the one thing you really wanted to see. Check out the IFAI website for maps, schedules, and more.

4. Bring a Friend or a Co-Worker

Like-minded folks will help you keep your sanity. You'll be able to take breaks and get meals together, and in a time crunch you can split up to make sure you cover all your bases!

3. Prepare Your Wardrobe

We're always surprised by how much walking we do at the trade show. (Are you sure it was this much last year?) Be sure to wear comfortable shoes designed for walking so you don't have to retreat back to your hotel room early.

2. Prepare Your Supplies

You'll need a bag to collect all the swag you'll be picking up, especially if you stop at DirecTex's booth (2435!). Be sure to remember business cards, water, a pad of paper and pens, phone chargers and snacks. Anything else you recommend? Let us know in the comments.

1. Have fun!

Maybe the most important tip on this list is to remember to have fun and don't be shy. Everyone is here with the same goals in mind: to meet people and network. So be sure the IFAI Expo is worth your time and don't forget to have a good time and get some good chats with vendors in. You can set up an appointment with a DirecTex Rep by calling us today. We're a bunch of super fun folks.
